Mock the Fic: Family Friend Chapter 2

I wish I could say that this fic gets better, but it doesn’t. It does have a bit of a comedic ending. Oh and our trained killer is a die hard Apple fanatic.

For those of you who aren’t reading Christine Seeley Keenan (otherwise known as CSK) I LIKE REVIEWS! 1 REVIEW FROM 3 PEOPLE MEANS A NEW CHAPTER!

Shhhhh no one comment!

Trev

Goddamn, doesn’t this woman leave? It’s after midnight! I know for fact that she will be in before the crack of dawn. By now I’m beginning to wonder if she even has an apartment.

Nope, it blew up. Where have you been?

My position is secure, if juvenile. I’m hiding in a office supply closet.

Well that’s a great place to hide, like anyone on the night crew will ever go there, to you know, clean.

I had a fiber-optic camera under the door. Kate was diligently working on her computer. I understand staying up late working on paperwork. Even a operative like me gets stuck in the bureaucracy. But she had working on it since… six! More than four hours! Even New York doesn’t assign that much paperwork!

She had working? That makes no sense.

Finally she gets up. She doesn’t turn off her computer. Ah well, now or never.

Nope just a coffee break. Why is it clichéd that Becks never leaves the precinct? It’s as clichéd as the Castle not staying in the car.

I silently open the door and pad across the bullpen. I sneak a quick glance at her computer. Its not paperwork.

Pad across the bullpen? I didn’t know ipads could walk.

What the hell? Rick Castle? She’s been researching her partner for who-knows how long! I have a sore back from being bent over for eight hours waiting for her to go home, all because she doesn’t like to ask her partner questions? Grrrr.

I have nothing for this. Nothing. What? Like you never googled your coworkers?

Mock the Fic: Family Friend Chapter 1

Oh mockers. I found this fic when I was planning this blog out, but forgot all about it until the author added another chapter and reminded me that I needed to LOL it. I can’t say I know the author personally, but I think this has to be written by a male considering it bored me to death with all the tactical crapola. This fic is long so it’s getting broken into chapters.

Jon “Trev” Trevodur, now known as Jon Trevinski, sat in his chair. If you looked at him, you would see a bored man with a nondescript face, tall and muscular, but not overly so. A man who could just as easily pass for a business man as he would a laborer.

So in other words, a hobo?

If you saw him, you would think he was slouching.

I am right aren’t I? He’s a hobo! YAY Go BCF!

But to the trained eye, his position spoke volumes. His arm, supporting his head lazily, was at an exact 45 degree angle. His legs bent at an exact ninety degree angle.

And does he carry a protractor so he can make sure his angles are just right? Does he also have a pocket protector?

His head wasn’t resting on his palm, only made to look it. Even at a slouch, his back was straight, and he seemed to posses the smooth stiffness of the disciplined, motivated, and above all lethal, Marine he was. Even if it had been a long time since he had been on a drill pad.

Boooorrrrriiiiinnnnnggggg. Don’t mind me while I take a nap.

Currently, the bored look on his face was a true expression of emotion.

Looks like the author is not only boring me, but the character too. That takes true writing talent.

Get on with it already, he thought.

Please do so.

Currently, the stiff in front of him was discussing the Rules of Engagement. Not that he hadn’t heard it all before. Only one other person in the COVENANT Project had as much ease as not over killing on their missions.

Well congratulations, you are over killing the boredom.
